Stealing
Overview
Stealing is a main mechanic in Grow A Garden 2, added on June 12, 2026. It allows players to take fruits from other players' gardens for completely free, making it one of the most significant new features compared to the original Grow A Garden, in which stealing cost Robux.
Mechanics
Once night comes, you have two options: Steal, or Protect.
How to Steal
To steal, go to another player's garden. As long as they are not in it or don't notice you, you can steal any crops from them.
How to Protect
To protect your garden, just stay in your garden — it will be locked, preventing anyone from stealing from you.
Retrieving Stolen Fruit
If someone has already stolen your fruit, you can hit them with a weapon like the Shovel to retrieve your fruit.
Teleport Restrictions
You must bring the stolen fruit back to your garden to receive it. The teleport buttons are removed when you have stolen a fruit, until you return to your garden.
Defense
Players can counter stealing through passive defenses such as Walls, and defensive plants such as the Venus Fly Trap.
Trivia

- There are multiple ways to protect your garden from thieves, including using the shovel, building cosmetic walls, or adding defensive plants.
- The game has a movement anti-cheat to stop exploiters from easily stealing crops, unlike the original Grow A Garden.
